Making Scents

This article is about a lady named Hannah Follis and her job making scented candles and perfumes on her job. This lady majored in biology and minored in chemistry then saw an add and was about making perfumes and scented candles so she tried it out and she pretty much loves her job. Follis says that you need to know chemistry really well in order to get the feel for this job. She also says that the process in making it will need oils from certain plants and even vegetables, I think that’s pretty weird to use vegetables to make a scented candle or a perfume but I think that sounds cool to see somebody extract oils from it and I didn’t even know that some vegetables could give off oils. Some candles come to be by the marketers find that there is a demand for a certain candle scent that’s when the illume research and development team makes that certain scent become a reality.

To make these scents they also use fruits bark leaves flowers and vegetables as said earlier and they mix them with other chemicals to make that fragrance. The perfumer also needs to be creative in making those new scents for the market and economy. Some fragrances also have different colors because they will use different formulas to it

Picture Power

This article I read was about how to make and use a collage everyday to help you get to a certain job you want in the future. Like say you want to work in business than make a collage and cut up things that could help you along the way or things that have to do with the certain job you want and get a blank poster board or a blank card board and paste the stuff you cut out from a magazine or a news article and paste those things onto the poster board.

The next thing you could do is put the poster board full of things and post it on your wall or a wall near you when you lie on your bed and look at it before you go to sleep, so you can dream about those things and actually feel like you’re experiencing that job and feeling what its like, then try that a few times just to feel what it feels like. The next thing you could probly do is try the job and see for your self and if you don’t like it and see a different job you may like then make another collage and use that the same way you made it but with different pictures and use that the same way you used the last collage

Risky Business

This article was about staying away from things that may hurt you during a job or that hurt you already and how to prevent those things from happening. This article talks about working in different jobs and to stay safe, like say you’re working at a restaurant and there is a wet floor, you should buy non slip shoes so you will not slip and fall. Another job is working at a retail store or something like that. When you work at those types of jobs you should be extra careful because of robberies. Say somebody robs the store while you’re on register then you hand them whatever you want like the money in the cash register or just let them take whatever and don’t try to follow them to wherever they are trying to go because nothing in a store is worth risking you’re life for.

Another job to be careful with are any outdoor jobs like working as a lifeguard but you probly want to be careful cause of communicable diseases, sunburn and heat exhaustion and dehydration cause sitting in the sun will do those things to you so you might want to put on some sun tan and drink lots of water you might want to check with your shots and see if your updated on them and watch out for any mosquitoes or ticks they also cause diseases.

Proceed with Caution

This article I read was called “Proceed with Caution” and it gives you tips on how to feel for a job and getting the job you want or the job that’s right for you. This article tells about how to look for a job like looking at the salary that is a big part in getting a job and something not to say when you’re trying to get that job is "I can’t".Having your parents help you with your job is a great idea to see if they experienced that job and getting tips about it. Its also good to have a mentor to help you with it, like say you want a job just like that person or if you want a job that that person experienced then that would help you in determining if you want that job or not.
Lets say somebody offers you a summer job like helping with loading up some things or babysitting or even helping in the office with somebody. It would be best if you take in all jobs offered to you because of two words “job experience”. Job experience will help you determine another job or if you would want that job. So Job experience is a very useful tool to put on your resume also.

Up in Arms

The Harrold Independent School in Texas thinks they are in jeopardy of having a school shooting there. Because the school is thirty miles away from the next police station, they will train the teachers to carry a fire arm and train them to use it in a hostage situation. The school officials did not give out the information about how many teachers are already holding a fire arm but they say that all the teachers will be trained in using it.
Some students don’t agree that the teachers should carry fire arms because it is not their job to be a security guard ,but it is their job to educate students. The students also argue that putting guns in the school will increase the chance of a school attack because students may get a hold of it or the teachers will get angry and their will be no time to cool them down cause they know that there is a fire arm in reach or in possession. Another thing to think about is the fact that there are some families in the school for example David Thweatt has a wife that teaches math in the school and two of their kids go to school there.

WALL STREET BLUES

The United States banks were giving out loans that could help people with bad or no credit to help them buy a house. This loan is called subprime mortgages ,it was because of these the United States banks were going into a financial crisis. George.W.Bush even said that they were going into a financial crisis. Then the government tried to fix the situation by giving the banks more money and the government gave the banks 200 billion dollars not each just splitting it with all the banks in the United States. Also some of the money was split to the American International Group (AIG) about 85 billion was given to this group to keep that from falling.
Then the federal National Mortgage Association and the Home Loan Mortgage Corporation were on the brink of failing because of all the bad loans they were carrying so they pretty much had a stake in almost half of all U.S loans. Later the government couldn’t let these two companies fail so they poured in 200 billion dollars into that. The United States treasury secretary asked the federal government to give him 700 billion dollars to rescue the troubled banks. He would use that money to buy up the bad loans, then work with the borrowers to get repaid.
